YORK, Pa. -- Salisbury junior Kyle Westbrook was selected as Capital Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
Westbrook captained the backline on Saturday during the Sea Gulls' 3-0 conference shutout of Penn State University-Harrisburg. For the match, the Lions only made four shot attempts, two on goal. Salisbury has now gone 360 consecutive minutes without allowing a goal and tallied eight shutouts for the season.
The Gulls are back in action on Wednesday, October 9, as they travel to University of Mary Washington for a conference clash with the Eagles. The contest is set to kickoff at 4 p.m.
