MINNEAPOLIS- The Salisbury University men's soccer team has moved up to No. 20 in the D3soccer.com poll, the website announced on Tuesday.
The Sea Gulls (8-2) received 124 points after defeating Frostburg State University 1-0 on Saturday afternoon.
Previously ranked No. 1 in the nation, Messiah College has dropped to No. 3 with a record of 9-1 with 538 points and one first-place vote. New to the No. 1 spot is Ohio Wesleyan University (11-0) with 614 points and 18 first-place votes. Now ranked at No. 3 is Rutgers-Camden University, also 11-0, with 598 points and five first-place votes.
Both the No. 4 and 5 spots remain unchanged from last week with York (Pa.) College (8-1) occupying No. 4 with 530 points, and Amherst College (7-0-1) at No. 5 with 528 points.
The maroon and gold will face off against Penn St. University-Harrisburg on Saturday, Oct. 5, at the SU Soccer Complex. The match is set to begin at 2 p.m.
