SU men’s soccer to host Neumann in program’s 10th NCAA tournament Thursday

INDIANAPOLIS – After falling to York (Pa.) College in the Capital Athletic Conference Championship match, 1-0, the Salisbury University men's soccer team wasn't sure it would earn an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament.

SU (13-3-3) not only got into the field of 61, but the Sea Gulls will host a first-round match against Neumann University on Thursday, Nov. 10 at the SU Soccer Complex. The match is set to begin at 1 p.m. The Sea Gulls are making their 10th NCAA tournament appearance and first since 2009.

Neumann (13-4-0) is making its second consecutive NCAA tournament trip after winning the Colonial States Athletic Conference with a 2-1 victory over Marywood University.

The winner will travel to face No. 2-ranked and eight-time NCAA champion Messiah College (18-0-1) Sunday, Nov. 13 at 1 p.m.

Blossom Soccer Stadium in San Antonio, Texas will host the NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Soccer Championships, Dec. 2-3.
