SALISBURY, Md. – The next 24 hours will hold many answers for a number of Salisbury University's varsity athletic teams. The Sea Gulls saw three teams (women's soccer, volleyball and field hockey) claim Capital Athletic Conference championships on Saturday and automatic bids into their respective NCAA tournaments.
By Monday afternoon, the three teams will know where and when they are playing and the men's soccer team will know if it has received a pool C (at-large) bid into the NCAA tournament.
Field hockey is expected to receive its announcement in the early hours of Monday morning while fans of the Salisbury soccer teams and volleyball team will be able to watch an on-line selection show produced by the NCAA.
Monday morning, the Division III volleyball field will be announced at 11 a.m., the men's soccer announcement will come at 1 p.m., and the women's soccer bracket will be revealed at 1:30 p.m. Click here to view links to all of the selection shows and brackets as they become available.
Along with these four teams, Salisbury will see its men's and women's cross country teams compete in the NCAA Mideast Regional meet next Saturday, Nov. 12, at Center Valley, Pa. The football team claimed at least a share of the Empire 8 Conference title this weekend, and picked up the league's automatic bid in the NCAA football tournament, which begins on Saturday, Nov. 19.
