SU moves to No. 17 in D3Soccer.com poll

MINNEAPOLIS – The Salisbury University men's soccer team climbed to No. 17 in the latest D3Soccer.com top 25 poll, the website announced Tuesday.

SU (12-2-3) defeated Stevenson University, 1-0, last Wednesday at the SU Soccer Complex to close the regular season.

The Sea Gulls received 214 points in the poll, 27 more than Wesleyan University (10-2-3) at No. 18.

The top five teams remained unchanged from last week's voting. Messiah College (15-0-1, 613 points), Christopher Newport University (15-0-1, 595) and St. Lawrence University (16-0-0, 583) shared first-place votes with 16, five and four and were the top three in the poll, respectively.

Top-seeded Salisbury hosts fourth-seeded Frostburg State University in the CAC semifinals Wednesday at 2:30 p.m.
