KANSAS CITY, Kan. – For the third straight week, the Salisbury University men's soccer team held at No. 17 in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) top 25 poll, the organization announced Tuesday.
Salisbury (12-2-3, 7-1-0 CAC) defeated Stevenson University, 1-0, last Wednesday to close the regular season.
SU finished ahead of Stevens Institute of Technology (14-2-0), Washington University (13-3-0), Pacific Lutheran University (15-2-0), DePauw University (14-2-1), Luther College (14-2-2), Western New England College (16-3-1), DeSales University (14-3-1) and Montclair State University (14-2-3) in the poll.
The top three teams remained unchanged from last week's voting. St. Lawrence University (16-0-0), Messiah College (15-0-1) and Christopher Newport University (15-0-1) led the way once again.
Salisbury was third in the South-Atlantic regional rankings, trailing just CNU and Rutgers University-Camden (14-2-2).
Top-seeded Salisbury hosts fourth-seeded Frostburg State University in the CAC semifinals Wednesday at 2:30 p.m.
