Sea Gulls move up to No. 10 in the nation, remain No. 2 in region
KANSAS CITY, Kan. - The Salisbury University men's soccer team moved up one spot to No. 10 in the NCSAA (National Soccer Coaches Association of America) Top 25 poll this week. The Sea Gulls also held onto their No. 2 ranking in the South Atlantic region. This is the third consecutive week that Salisbury is nationally ranked, having begun the season ranked No. 13.
Salisbury also jumped up from No. 3 to No. 2 in the D3soccer.com Top 25 poll. The Sea Gulls sit one spot behind No. 1 Messiah College, who retained the top spot for the second week in a row. Messiah received 625 points in the poll, while Salisbury received 571; previously No. 2 ranked Ohio Wesleyan dropped to No. 4, with 546 points.
The Sea Gulls' perfect season remains intact, as Salisbury is 7-0. Their most recent win came at Roanoke College, as the Sea Gulls defeated the Maroons, 1-0.
Salisbury's next opponent will be Johns Hopkins University at the SU Soccer Complex on Wednesday, Sept. 23, at 4 p.m.
