Sterling named CAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week

YORK, Pa. - The Capital Athletic Conference announced its weekly conference Player of the Week awards and Salisbury University senior midfielder Kyle Sterling (Salisbury, Md.) was named the men's soccer recipient for the week of Oct. 12.

Sterling netted his third career hat trick in the Sea Gulls' (10-2-1, 4-0-1 CAC) 5-1 victory against St. Mary's (Md.) College on Saturday. Sterling scored goals in the 19th, 53rd and 65th minutes, and dished out an assist in the 49th minute to junior midfielder Dave Corrigan (Brookfield, Conn.). Prior to the match against St. Mary's, Sterling scored one goal and dished out one assist in SU's 4-0 defeat of Stevenson University on Wednesday. For the week, Sterling finished with 10 points on four goals and two assists.

The Sea Gulls will look to stay unbeaten in CAC play as they hit the road for a match against Marymount (Va.) University this Wednesday, Oct. 14, at 7:30 p.m.
