Salisbury leaps back into the NSCAA poll

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - The Salisbury University men's soccer team is ranked No. 19 in the latest National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Top 25 poll released on Tuesday. Salisbury is ranked for the first time since September 30, a span of five weeks.

Salisbury (13-3-3) went 1-0 last week with a Capital Athletic Conference tournament victory over Marymount (Va.) University, 7-1, in the quarterfinal round. With the victory, the Sea Gulls are now on a seven-game unbeaten streak.

The Sea Gulls are joined in the poll with CAC rival, York (Pa.) College. The Spartans (18-0-0) are ranked No. 2 in the nation and hold the best record in Division III. Salisbury is ranked third in the South Region behind Emory (Ga.) University (16-0-0) and York but are right in front of Christopher Newport University (13-3-3) and CAC foe University of Mary Washington (9-4-3).

This is the final NSCAA regular-season rankings for Division III. A final postseason poll will be released in December.

SU will next travel to Fredericksburg, Va., to face the Eagles on Wednesday, November 5, at 2 p.m. in a CAC semifinal match. The Sea Gulls tied Mary Washington 0-0 in double overtime on October 25.
