Men's Lacrosse vs. Wesley
The eleventh ranked Salisbury University men’s lacrosse returned home to take on route 13 rival Wesley College on Wednesday night under the lights at Sea Gull Stadium. The Sea Gulls picked a convincing 25-3 win over the visiting Wolverines as four different players for the maroon and gold tallied hat tricks in the contest. Pierre Armstrong turned in a career night for the Sea Gulls as he finished the game with three goals and four assists to total seven points. Armstrong aided in Salisbury’s 9-0 run to start the game as one of eight different players to tally goals in the opening 16 minutes of action. Cross Ferrara, who was making his first start of the season, posted a season-high four points netting two goals and an assist. Ferrara helped push the lead to 6-0 when he netted his second of the day scoring twice in the opening frame. Jarrett Bromwell continued his successful freshman campaign netting his first career hat trick. Bromwell scored his first marker of the game on the man-up unit helping Salisbury race out to an 8-0 advantage after one. Brett Malamphy and TJ Logue were exceptional from the face-off X combining to go 19-for-22 as Malamphy went a perfect 10-for-10 while Logue picked up a team-high nine groundballs. Salisbury returns to action on Saturday, March 31 when it hosts Southern Virginia University. Face-off is scheduled for 2 p.m.
