PERRY, N.Y. – The Salisbury University men's lacrosse team held its spot at No. 11 in the nation in the latest United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association coaches' poll, released on Monday.
The Sea Gulls (8-3) put together a 2-0 week with Capital Athletic Conference victories over Wesley College on March 28 and Southern Virginia University on March 31.
Salisbury earned 178 points in this week's poll, sitting 15 points back of No. 10 Franklin and Marshall College (193).
Rochester Institute of Technology remained on top of the Division III lacrosse world earning 400 points and all 21 of the first-place votes. York College of Pennsylvania (378) also stayed put at No. 2 while Tufts University (337) held its spot as the third ranked team. Wesleyan (Conn.) University (307) and Cabrini University (305) rounded out the top five.
Salisbury and York (Pa.) were joined by fellow CAC opponent Christopher Newport University in the poll, which dropped two spots to No. 17.
The Sea Gulls return to action on Wednesday, April 4 when they take on the Captains in Newport News, Virginia starting at 7 p.m.
