Warren named CAC Defensive Player of the Week

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Capital Athletic Conference announced its weekly men's lacrosse awards on Monday afternoon and Salisbury University sophomore Brandon Warren was named the league's Defensive Player of the Week for the first time in his career.

Warren led the Sea Gulls to a pair of victories in the past week, in his first two career starts, recording a 52.9 save percentage and a 4.79 goals-against average in wins over Kenyon College and then-No. 15 Stevenson University.

Against Kenyon, Warren needed to make just three saves in 40 minutes of play, while he turned away six shots in a 9-7 win against Stevenson.

Warren joins senior Kyle Tucker, who was named the CAC's Defensive Player of the Week on February 19.

The Sea Gulls are back in action on Saturday, March 17, hosting Washington (Md.) College. That game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
