FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Capital Athletic Conference announced its first men's lacrosse awards for the 2018 season and Salisbury University senior Kyle Tucker was named the league's Defensive Player of the Week.
The Sea Gulls' first three games of the season were counted in the first league report of the year, as Tucker's defensive prowess led the team to three victories, allowing just 22 total goals. Tucker recorded a CAC-best 11 caused turnovers to go with 17 ground balls in the three victories.
His best effort in the start of the year was this past Saturday against Widener University, when he caused six turnovers and scooped up seven ground balls.
Tucker and the Sea Gulls are back in action this Saturday, February 24 when they travel to No. 13 Gettysburg College for a contest beginning at 1 p.m.
