PERRY, N.Y. – The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association released its first Division III Lacrosse Team of the Week on Wednesday morning and Salisbury University senior Garrett Reynolds was recognized by the organization earning a spot on this week's team.
Reynolds turned in an impressive weekend for the Sea Gulls helping them to a 13-9 victory over No. 12 Lynchburg College on February 10. Reynolds scored six goals, including four in the first half, on 10 shots on goal and finished the game with six total points.
For the season Reynolds has netted eight goals in the first two games of the year including one on man-up and one while Salisbury was man-down. He has also recorded 27 total shots with 16 being on cage to post an impressive 59.3 shots on goal percentage.
Reynolds was joined on the team by fellow Capital Athletic Conference opponent's Ben Stevens from St. Mary's College of Maryland and Brendan McGrath from York College of Pennsylvania. Also making the team was week one opponent Ian Levin of No. 19 Hampden-Sydney College, and most recent opponent Matt Meadows of Lynchburg.
Players from Huntingdon College, The Catholic University of America, Centre College, and Carthage College were also recognized on the team for their outstanding play over the weekend.
Salisbury returns to action on Saturday, February 17 when it hosts Widener University. Face-off between the Sea Gulls and Pride is scheduled for 1 p.m.
