Men's lacrosse picked first by CAC coaches' poll

YORK, Pa. – The Capital Athletic Conference announced its preseason men's lacrosse coaches' poll and the Salisbury University men's lacrosse team garnered the top spot coming off its Division III National Championship victory last season.

The Gulls picked up the top spot with 63 points and seven of the nine first-place votes. York College of Pennsylvania followed Salisbury with 57 points and the other two first-place votes. Frostburg State University (48 points), Christopher Newport University (45 points), and University of Mary Washington (36 points) rounded out the top five.  

Salisbury opens up its 2017 season on Saturday, February 4 with a home game against Methodist University at 1 p.m. The CAC slate begins for the Sea Gulls with a home game Mary Washington on March 18.
