Men's lacrosse holds annual Lax for Leukemia Youth Day

SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University men's lacrosse team hosts Capital Athletic Conference and in-state rival Frostburg State University on Saturday, April 9, at 1 p.m., as the Sea Gulls look to finish the regular season strong; however, both teams look to unite the community for the sixth annual Lax for Leukemia Youth Day.

Last year's popular silent auction will be back. The auction begins at noon, one hour prior to the game. The auction will conclude following the end of the third quarter and winners will be announced during the fourth quarter. All proceeds will go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

The Salisbury men's lacrosse organization has also invited many youth organizations from the surrounding area to attend the game. All youth players will receive free admission if they wear their jersey and bring a copy of this flyer. Each youth team will be recognized over the public address system and can enjoy an autograph session with the Salisbury men's lacrosse team following the game.

The Sea Gulls have set a goal to raise $8,000 during the event. Anyone who would like to donate to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, can send checks -- made out to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Maryland -- to the Salisbury University men's lacrosse office, attention Michael Baggetta.
