Cirillo named men's lacrosse offensive player of the week

YORK, Pa. – Salisbury University men's lacrosse midfielder Thomas Cirillo has been named the Capital Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.

Cirillo has been leading the offensive charge for the No. 2 Gulls to start the season. In their home opener, Cirillo went for four goals and two assists against No. 2 Lynchburg College, including three goals and two assists as a part of the second-half comeback.

He then added a two-goal, six-assist effort in the team's win over No. 20 Montclair State University on Saturday, giving him 14 points for the week.

Cirillo sits at seven goals and nine assists for 16 points after three wins for Salisbury to begin the 2016 season.

Salisbury returns to action this weekend when it goes on the road to take on No. 5 Gettysburg College on Saturday, February 27.
