BALTIMORE - The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association is holding its 74th USILA/LaxWorld North-South games on Friday, May 22, and the No. 8 Salisbury University men's lacrosse team had three players named to the South team for the Division III game.
Kraus enjoyed a successful season on the field for the Gulls, being named a first team USILA All-American and All-Capital Athletic Conference member. He was also honored as the CAC's Player of the Year and the USILA's William C. Stiles Outstanding Defensive Player, as the best defender in the country. Kraus led the Sea Gulls with 29 caused turnovers, while picking up 50 ground balls this season.
Fitzgerald was Salisbury's lead distributor on the offensive end this season, pacing the team with 39 assists. He finished third on the team with 61 points, while adding 22 goals. Fitzgerald was named a USILA All-American honorable mention and an All-CAC first-team member.
Kemp, also a USILA honorable mention All-American and first-team All-CAC member, was another pillar on Salisbury's second-ranked defense this season. He started all 22 games for the team and caused 26 turnovers to finish the year third on the team. Kemp also picked up 43 ground balls this season.
The Division III North-South game on Friday is set to begin at 3 p.m., at Cabrini College.
