SALISBURY, Md. – The No. 13 Salisbury University men's lacrosse team is primed for a Capital Athletic Conference matchup with Marymount (Va.) University on Saturday, April 4, as the Sea Gulls will continue their annual campaign against leukemia by hosting its second Lax for Leukemia Youth Day; the game is set to begin at 1 p.m.
The event will feature a silent auction that will open at 12:30 p.m., and run until the end of the third quarter. The winners of the auction will be read during the fourth quarter, and all proceeds will be donated to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
The Sea Gulls have also invited various local youth lacrosse programs from the Salisbury area, and the youth players will receive free admission to the game if they are wearing their lacrosse jersey and bring a copy of the Lax for Leukemia Youth Day flyer.
Each youth organization will be recognized during the game, and the SU men's lacrosse players will hold an autograph session after the game.
Salisbury has set a goal to raise $6,000 during the event. Anyone who would like to donate to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, please send any checks, made out to the Leukemia and Lymphonma Society of Maryland, to the Salisbury University men's lacrosse office, attention Michael Baggetta.
