SALISBURY, MD. – After a 1-1, week the Salisbury University men's lacrosse team received its latest rankings on Monday in the Lacrosse Magazine poll and the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association coaches' poll.
The Sea Gulls (7-4, 3-0 CAC) bounced back with a 29-4 win over Southern Virginia University Saturday, after coming up short in a long fought battle with Stevenson University in overtime 9-8, on March 25. Junior Thomas Cirillo started the game off against Southern Virginia early by scoring the first goal in the first three minutes. Senior Adam Stork and freshman Chase Berquist both had game-highs with three goals each, and 18 other Gulls also found the back of the net in the win.
At No. 13 last week, the Sea Gulls found themselves at No. 14 in this week's in the Lacrosse Magazine poll and at No.13 in the USILA poll.
Joining Salisbury from the CAC this week is Frostburg State University at No. 18 who was not ranked as of last week in the Lacrosse Magazine poll.
Salisbury continues on the road in its next game, taking on Wesley College in Dover, Delaware on Wednesday, April 1; the game is set for 7 p.m.
