SALISBURY, Md. – The latest Division III men's lacrosse rankings were released on Monday, and the Salisbury University men's lacrosse team is ranked in the top 20 in both the Lacrosse Magazine rankings and the United State Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association coaches' poll.
Lacrosse Magazine has the Sea Gulls ranked No. 15 following an overtime defeat at the hands of Ohio Wesleyan University, which moved up to No. 11. Tufts University remains the top-ranked team in the nation, followed by Rochester Institute of Technology, Union (N.Y.) College, Stevenson University, and Gettysburg College.
In the USILA poll, the Sea Gulls are ranked No. 17, having collected 77 points. Tufts grabbed 19 first-place votes and 437 points to remain at No. 1, followed by RIT (421 points and three first-place votes), Stevenson (375 points), Union (370), and Cabrini College (312).
York College of Pennsylvania, also from the Capital Athletic Conference, appears in both lists, as well, sitting in No. 16 in both.
Salisbury will be back in action on Wednesday, March 11, hosting Hampden-Sydney at Sea Gull Stadium in a contest slated to begin at 4 p.m.
