Face-off Yearbook ranks Salisbury No. 4 in preseason rankings

BALTIMORE – The Salisbury University men's lacrosse team was ranked the No. 4 team in the country coming into the 2015 season by Inside Lacrosse's Face-off Yearbook's Division III top-20 rankings.

The Sea Gulls are coming off a trip to the NCAA Division III national championship game in 2014, the fourth time in five seasons that SU has appeared in the game. The Gulls boasted a 21-2 overall record last season, including a 6-1 record in Capital Athletic Conference play and the program's 18th conference championship.

Reigning national champion Tufts University secured the No. 1 spot in the nation in the rankings, while No. 2 Rochester Institute of Technology, No. 3 Stevenson University, and No. 5 Cabrini College join the Sea Gulls in the top five.

York College of Pennsylvania was ranked No. 10, as the only other CAC school in the rankings.

Salisbury gets its season started on Saturday, February 7, as the Sea Gulls will open at home against Greensboro College; the opening faceoff is set for 1 p.m.
