CENTERVILLE, Mass. - Salisbury University men's lacrosse seniors Josh Martin, Zeke Smith, Donovan Lange and junior Knute Kraus have been named to the ECAC Division III Mid-Atlantic All-Star Team, the league announced recently.
Martin, a defender, started each of the Sea Gulls' 23 contests and finished third on the team with 25 caused turnovers. The Niskayuna, N.Y., native picked up 25 ground balls as well.
Smith saw action each Salisbury contest, getting the starting nod in 20 games. The long-stick midfielder caused a team-high 36 turnovers and was second on the team with 73 ground balls.
Kraus started all 23 games for Salisbury as a defender, and caused 23 turnovers, third on the team, while picking up 46 ground balls, second on the team among defenders.
The trio of players was key in one of the nation's top defenses. The Sea Gulls allowed 6.57 goals per game, good for 14th in the nation.
Lange, a midfielder, played in all 23 of Salisbury's games this season, scoring 34 goals and adding 17 assists for 51 points, which rank fourth of the team. The Glen Burnie, Md., native scored eight man-up goals and scooped up 27 ground balls.
