BALTIMORE - The Salisbury University men's lacrosse team will enter the 2014 NCAA Division III tournament with a hold on the No. 2 spot in the country in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association coaches' poll, the organization announced on Monday.

Salisbury earned 303 points in the poll to keep the second spot for the third week in a row, after defeating York College of Pennsylvania on Saturday in the Capital Athletic Conference championship game, 12-4.

The Sea Gulls come in behind No. 1 Rochester Institute of Technology with 320 points and all 16 first-place votes. No. 3 Stevenson University (274 points) and No. 4 Denison University (260 points) both kept their places from last week, while No. 5 Washington (Md.) College (245 points) moves into the top five from No. 6.

Salisbury now looks forward to the NCAA tournament, hosting a second-round game on Saturday, after earning a first-round bye; the Gulls will play the winner of a first-round game between York and Susquehanna University. The game time is to be announced.
