SALISBURY, Md. – In its next home game on Saturday, April 5th, the No. 2 Salisbury University men's lacrosse team will be hosting its Lax for Leukemia Youth Day, as the Sea Gulls will take the field in Capital Athletic Conference action against St. Mary's College of Maryland; the opening faceoff is set for 3 p.m.
The event will feature a silent auction that will open one hour before the start of the game and run until the end of the third quarter. The winners of the auction will be read during the fourth quarter, and all proceeds will be donated to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
The Sea Gulls have also invited various local youth lacrosse programs from the Salisbury area, and the youth players will receive free admission to the game if they are wearing their lacrosse jersey.
Each youth organization will be recognized during the game, and the SU men's lacrosse players will hold an autograph session after the game.
Salisbury has set a goal to raise $2,000 during the event.
Be sure to come out to Sea Gull Stadium on Saturday to support the men's lacrosse team's effort in the battle against cancer.
