CENTERVILLE, Mass. – Senior goalkeeper Alex Taylor, of the No. 2 Salisbury University men's lacrosse team, added to his accolades this week, being named the Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III Mid-Atlantic Co-Defensive Player of the Week, the organization announced.
Taylor, who was named the Capital Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week, as well, earned two victories over No. 7 Washington College and No. 12 York College of Pennsylvania, last week, while making 24 saves.
With a 15-save performance against the Shoremen, he helped bring the Charles B. Clark Cup back to Salisbury University, before making nine stops against the Spartans in SU's second CAC victory of the season.
Taylor held a 61.5 save percentage for the week, while picking up eight ground balls.
Salisbury now looks forward to CAC-foe No. 15 University of Mary Washington on Saturday, with the opening faceoff set for 3 p.m.
