BALTIMORE – The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association released its weekly coaches poll on Monday morning and Salisbury University remained the No. 7 team in the nation.
The Sea Gulls (7-2) received 217 points in the poll, just two points behind Lynchburg College, which is ranked No. 6.
Salisbury is coming off a two-win week topping York (Pa.) College, in each team's Capital Athletic Conference opener, last Wednesday and a decisive 17-5 win against then-No. 20 Roanoke College on Sunday.
The top three in the poll remain unchanged, led by the State University of New York at Cortland with 315 points and 13 first-place votes. Stevenson University (305 points and the remaining three first-place votes) sits in second followed by Dickinson College (291 points).
Rochester Institute of Technology (264 points) climbed one spot to No. 4 while Washington College jumped into the top five, from No. 6 last week, with 247 points.
Salisbury will host Colorado College, which is receiving votes in this week's poll, on Wednesday night at Sea Gull Stadium, beginning at 7.
