Five Sea Gulls named ECAC Metro/South Region Men's Lacrosse All-Stars

CAPE COD, Mass. - The Eastern Colleges Athletic Conference (ECAC) announced its Division III All-Metro/South Region teams recently and five members of the Salisbury University men's lacrosse team were named to one of three All-Star teams.

Sophomore midfielder Sam Bradman (Canton, N.Y.), senior long-stick midfielder Connor Burgasser (Mendon, N.Y.), junior defender Collin Tokosch (Arnold, Md.) and senior midfielder Mike Von Kamecke (Winter Park, Fla.) were all named to the first team while junior goalkeeper Johnny Rodriguez (Gambrills, Md.) was named to the third team.

Bradman, the 2010 National Midfielder of the Year, leads the team in points (85) and goals (58) entering this weekend's national championship contest with Tufts University. The Canton, N.Y., native has played in all 22 games with three starts. Bradman has scooped up 42 ground balls and caused 24 turnovers this season.

Burgasser played in all 22 games with 20 starts for the maroon and gold. The Mendon, N.Y., native leads the team in caused turnovers with 44 and is third on the team in ground balls with 48. Burgasser has chipped in on the offensive end as he has six points on one goal and five assists.  

Tokosch has played in 22 games this season with 21 starts for the No. 2-ranked Sea Gulls. The Arnold, Md., native is second on the team in caused turnovers with 35 and has scooped up 37 ground balls. Tokosch tallied his first collegiate goal this season in a win over Wesley College on March 24.

Von Kamecke has played in 22 games this season with three starts for the Sea Gulls. The Winter Park, Fla., native is third in points with 70 on 40 goals and 30 assists. Von Kamecke has scooped up 20 ground balls and caused nine turnovers.

Rodriguez has played and started every game this season for the Sea Gulls while racking up a 20-1 record. The Gambrills, Md., native has logged over 1,000 minutes for the maroon and gold and posted a goals against average of 7.00. Rodriguez has staved off 179 shots for SU.

Cabrini College senior attackman Casey Grugan was named the Metro/South Men's Lacrosse Region Player of the Year and freshman attackman Brian Gill from Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham was named the Rookie of the Year.
