Bradman named CAC men's lacrosse Player of the Week
YORK, Pa. - The Capital Athletic Conference announced its weekly Player of the Week awards and Salisbury University sophomore midfielder Sam Bradman (Canton, N.Y.) was named the men’s lacrosse recipient for the week of March 15. This marks the second time this season that a men’s lacrosse player has received the honor, as Matt Cannone (Bayport, N.Y.) was named Player of the Week on Feb. 23.
Bradman helped lead the No. 3-ranked Sea Gulls (6-0) to a pair of
victories over nationally-ranked opponents, including a win over
2009 National Champion Cortland State. In the victory over the Red
Dragons, Bradman scored four goals and dished out two assists,
including the assist on Shawn
Zordani’s (Littleton, Colo.) game-winning goal.
In addition Bradman scooped up one ground ball and caused two
turnovers. In Salisbury’s victory over Ohio Wesleyan
University, Bradman tallied seven points on four goals and three
assists. The seven points established a new career high for the
sophomore. Through six games this season, Bradman has 33 points,
just eight shy of the 41 points he put up in the ’09
campaign.
The Sea Gulls are scheduled to take on the College of Wooster this Wednesday in the second game of a four-game home stand at Sea Gull Stadium. The contest against the Fighting Scots will be the first night game of the season for SU, as game time is set for 7 p.m.
