Sea Gulls sit at No. 5 in Lacrosse Magazine preseason poll
BALTIMORE, Md. - The Salisbury University men's lacrosse team has earned a preaseason ranking of No. 5 by Lacrosse Magazine; the poll was released in the January 2010 issue of the magazine. The Sea Gulls round out a top five that features No. 1 SUNY Cortland, No. 2 Capital Athletic Conference foe Stevenson University, No. 3 Gettysburg College and No. 4 Haverford College.
The rest of the top ten is rounded out by Denison University, Roanoke College, Middlebury College, Western New England College and Cabrini College, respectively.
Five of Salisbury's opponents for the upcoming season are ranked in the poll including the top three ranked teams in the nation. They are No. 1 Cortland, No. 2 Stevenson and No. 3 Gettysburg. The other two are No. 15 Lynchburg and No. 18 Washington (Md.) College.
The Sea Gulls will open up the season on Feb. 14 at Greensboro College at 1 p.m., and the following weekend they will host Lynchburg on Feb. 20 at 1 p.m. at Sea Gull Stadium
