Salisbury ranked No. 5 in latest USILA coaches' poll

BALTIMORE - The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) coaches' poll released its weekly Top 20 on Monday and Salisbury University moved down one spot to No. 5. The Sea Gulls (11-2, 5-1 Capital Athletic Conference) collected 222 points.

CAC foe Stevenson University (11-0, 5-0 CAC) remains No. 1 for the second consecutive week as they received 13-of-15 first-place votes and 298 points. Roanoke College (12-0) remains at No. 2 for the second consecutive week as the Maroons received two first-place votes and 284 total points. Stevenson and Roanoke are the only undefeated teams left in Division III. SUNY Cortland (7-1) made a big move, up three spots, from No. 6 to No. 3 as the Red Dragons collected 253 points. Middlebury College (7-1) sits at No. 4 in this week's poll with 233 points as the Panthers moved up three spots as well. Salisbury rounds out the top five and sits in front of No. 6 Washington & Lee University (10-1). Gettysburg College (7-3) moved up one spot to No. 8.

Eastern Shore rival Washington (Md.) College (8-3) fell from No. 15 to No. 19 as the Shoremen collected 45 points. The Gulls and the Shoremen will square off for the Charles B. Clark Cup on Saturday, April 25, in Chestertown, Md.

SU will wrap up the CAC regular season this Friday, April 10, when they travel to Southern Maryland to face St. Mary's (Md.) College (5-5, 3-2 CAC) at 4 p.m.
