Titus named CAC Men's Lacrosse Athlete of the Week

NORTH HUNTINGDON, Pa. - The Capital Athletic Conference announced its weekly conference athlete of the week awards and Salisbury University attackman Greg Titus (Setauket, N.Y./Stony Brook) was named the men's lacrosse recipient for the week of April 7.

Titus scored three goals in each game last week and recorded seven points over two games for top-ranked Salisbury. The senior attackman shot over 40 percent in both games and put 85 percent of his shot attempts on goal against University of Mary Washington. Titus gave the Gulls the lead against the Eagles in the third quarter with the eventual game-winning goal and kept his team afloat against No. 12 Villa Julie College. For the season he leads the team with 33 goals and is third overall in points with 36.

This is the second straight week and third time overall a Sea Gull has earned this award as sophomore Mike Von Kamecke was named co-recipient for March 31. Junior goalie Riley Clark earned the honor for the week of March 17.

Salisbury will next host St. Mary's (Md.) College on Friday, April 11, for a 7 p.m. Capital Athletic Conference game under the lights at Sea Gull Stadium.
