Hickman named CAC Men's Lacrosse Athlete of the Week

NORTH HUNTINGDON, Pa. - The Capital Athletic Conference announced its weekly conference athlete of the week awards and Salisbury University senior attackman Matt Hickman (Darnestowne Md./Georgetown Prep) was named the men's lacrosse recipient for the week of April 14.

Hickman was a one-man show at the start of Salisbury's home Capital Athletic Conference game against St. Mary's (Md.) College on April 11. The senior attackman scored five of SU's first seven goals in the first quarter, in a span of 10 minutes. He finished with a game-high seven goals and one assist as the Sea Gulls rolled the Seahawks 23-4 to secure the top-seed in the CAC tournament.

Hickman leads the undefeated Sea Gulls (15-0) with 44 goals and 68 points and is the fourth recipient of this award from SU men's lacrosse team in '08. Greg Titus (April 7), Mike Von Kamecke (March 31) and Riley Clark (March 17) are the three previous award winners.
