Clark named CAC Men's Lacrosse Athlete of the Week

NORTH HUNTINGDON, Pa. - The Capital Athletic Conference announced its weekly conference athlete of the week awards and Salisbury University junior goalie Riley Clark (Potomac, Md./St. John's College) was named the men's lacrosse recipient for the week of March 17.

Clark had a career game against Denison University last Sunday at Sea Gull Stadium. The junior goalie made 17 saves in between the pipes for the top-ranked Sea Gulls as SU came back to beat Denison, 6-3. Clark made seven saves on 13 Big Red shots in the decisive fourth quarter as the Sea Gulls broke open a 3-3 game. Clark faced 32 shots in the game. Clark has started all eight games for Salisbury and has posted a 6.56 goals against average in over 329 minutes. He has made 46 saves (56.1 save percentage) and is 8-0 this season.

Clark is the first Sea Gull to earn a CAC Men's Lacrosse Athlete of the Week award this spring season.

Salisbury is currently in Florida for its Spring Break trip this week. SU faces No. 14 St. Lawrence University at Sylvan Lake Park on Thursday, March 20, at Noon.
