Berkman named CAC Men's Lacrosse Athlete of the Week

YORK, Pa. - The Capital Athletic Conference announced its weekly conference athlete of the week awards and Salisbury University midfielder Kylor Berkman (Salisbury, Md./Parkside) was named the men's lacrosse recipient for the week of April 28.

Berkman, the 2008 Capital Athletic Conference Player of the Year, posted a game-high five points last Saturday in the annual 'War on the Shore' game against fourth-ranked Washington College. The crafty midfielder scored one goal and dished out a game-high four assists for the top-ranked Sea Gulls, who completed their fifth consecutive perfect regular-season. The win also gave Kylor's dad, Jim, his 326th career win to tie the all-time NCAA mark for career wins.

Berkman is the fifth Sea Gull to earn a CAC Men's Lacrosse Athlete of the Week award this spring season. Seniors Matt Hickman (April 14) and Greg Titus (April 7), sophomore Mike Von Kamecke (March 31) and junior goalie Riley Clark (March 17) were the previous four recipients.
