KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Salisbury University men's basketball senior Wyatt Smith has seen numerous awards come his way and it continued on Wednesday morning as the National Association of Basketball Coaches announced its All-District teams and Smith was named to the second team in the Middle Atlantic District.
This honor comes on the heels of Smith being named to the All-Capital Athletic Conference first team, and the second team of the D3hoops.com All-Mid-Atlantic Region and ECAC South All-Stars.
During the 2016-17 season, Smith led Salisbury in scoring with 15.5 points per game, hitting 44.1 percent of his tries from the floor and just under 70 from the free-throw line. In his two-year career with Salisbury, Smith scored 801 points.
Smith also grabbed eight rebounds per game, which led the team this year and ranked third in the CAC. He blocked 44 shots this season and finished with 76 in his career, which ranks sixth in program history.
Smith led Salisbury to a 20-8 record during the 2016-17 season and an at-large bid into the NCAA tournament.
