MINNEAPOLIS – The Salisbury University men's basketball team heads to the NCAA tournament this week as the No. 24 team in the nation with the latest D3hoops.com poll being released on Tuesday.
The Sea Gulls claimed 67 points in the latest poll for the 24th spot, just 20 points behind the State University of New York at Plattsburgh.
Salisbury earned an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament, where the Sea Gulls will square off with Middlebury College on Friday, March 4, beginning at 5:30 p.m.. Middlebury is receiving two points in the current poll.
The winner of Friday's game will advance to the second round on Saturday, March 5 to take on either Stockton University or Keene State College. Stockton, the host of all three games this weekend, earned 20 points in this week's poll, sitting just outside the top 25.
