MINNEAPOLIS – The Salisbury University men's basketball team sits at No. 21 in the nation in the latest national poll, announced by D3hoops.com.
The Sea Gulls earned 148 points, following a 1-1 week, which included the largest victory since the 2001-02 season, a 42-point win at Frostburg State University, the team's first Capital Athletic Conference victory of the year.
The top two teams in the poll remain the same this week, with Augustana College at the top with all 25 first-place votes and 625 points and Whitworth University at No. 2 with 584 points. Amherst College climbed a spot to No. 3, with 564 points, while Ohio Wesleyan University (541 points), at No. 4, and Hope College (498 points) round out the top five.
Christopher Newport University is the other CAC school in the poll, sitting at No. 13 with 241 points.
The Sea Gulls return to action this Wednesday, December 9, hosting Penn State University-Harrisburg at Maggs Physical Activities Center, with the opening tip scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
