YORK, Pa. – Salisbury University junior Wyatt Smith earned Capital Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the first time in his career, the league announced Monday afternoon.
The Abingdon, Maryland native scored a game-high 17 points against Wesley College in Dover, Delaware Wednesday, along with a season-high 14 rebounds. Smith didn't stop there; he tallied 16 points in the Frostburg State University game on Saturday, shotting 75 percent from the floor. The win against the Bobcats put the Sea Gulls at a five-game win streak and into a three-way tie for second place in the CAC.
Smith and the Sea Gulls hit the road to Virginia for their next game to take on Marymount University Wednesday, February 18 for an 8 p.m., tipoff.
