Harwood named to CoSIDA Academic All-District Team

SALISBURY, Md. – The Capital One Academic All-District basketball teams, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America, were announced on Thursday and Salisbury University senior Tim Harwood was named to the District 2 team.

Harwood leads the Sea Gulls with 14.2 points per game this season. The Rockville, Md., native is second on the squad with 1.9 assists per contest, and is pulling down 2.9 rebounds per game.

For his career, Harwood is the leader all-time in three-point field goal percentage (45.5 percent) and free-throw percentage (86.8 percent), and is tied for eighth in program history with 132 three-pointers made.

To be eligible for nomination, a student-athlete must carry a minimum 3.30 grade-point average and be a starter or key reserve on his team. Harwood boasts a 3.53 cumulative grade-point average, and is majoring in physical education.

Harwood is now eligible to be selected as an Academic All-American; that team will be announced on Feb. 18.
