MINNEAPOLIS – Salisbury University senior Travon Vann has been named to the 2013 D3hoops.com men's All-Middle Atlantic Region Second Team, the website announced on Wednesday.

Vann, who was named to the ECAC Division III All-South Team last Friday and the All-CAC First Team on Feb. 26, was third in the CAC in scoring and rebounding, averaging 19.0 points and eight rebounds per game. He was also fifth in the league in both assists (four) and steals per game (1.7).

Vann earned CAC Men's Basketball Player or Co-Player of the Week four times, including consecutively on Nov. 19 and 26. He was also picked for the first D3hoops.com Team of the Week this season and claimed MVP honors in both the 15th Annual Tip-Off Tournament at Lycoming College and the GU Holiday Tournament, hosted by Gallaudet University.

A 6-foot-3 guard from Frederick, Md., Vann led the team with six double-doubles and poured in a career-high 36 points at Gallaudet on Nov. 23 and grabbed a career-best 18 rebounds twice, at Wesley College on Feb. 16 and Lycoming on Nov. 17.

Vann scored his 1,000th career point in a CAC tournament first-round win over York (Pa.) College Feb. 19. He finished with 1,038 after scoring 564 in three seasons at Division II California (Pa.) University.

Wesley's Wayne Lennon (Rookie of the Year) and Paul Reynolds (first team), Frostburg State University's Christian Jackson (second team) and St. Mary's (Md.) College's Nick LaGuerre (third team) joined Vann on the all-region team from the CAC.

Salisbury (19-8) advanced to the CAC tournament semifinals as the third seed, falling to Wesley, but had its most wins since the 1996-97 season.
