YORK, Pa. - The Capital Athletic Conference announced its weekly award winners and Salisbury University junior center Trent Epps was named the league's men's basketball Player of the Week.
In two games this week, one of which included a victory at first-place University of Mary Washington on Saturday, Epps led the team in scoring, shooting 53 percent from the field and 75 percent from the free-throw line.
The Germantown, Md., native shared team-leading scoring honors in the 13-point win against Marymount (Va.) University and had a double-double, coming off the bench, with game-highs of 15 points and 12 rebounds against Mary Washington.
The Sea Gulls will look to continue their winning ways as they travel to play St. Mary's (Md.) College, currently second in the CAC, on Wednesday, Feb. 8. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m.
