YORK, Pa. – The Capital Athletic Conference announced its weekly award winners on Monday and Salisbury University senior guard David Pearman was named the men's basketball Player of the Week.
The Columbia, Md., native averaged double-digit point totals in the last three Sea Gull contests, including a pair of CAC victories. In the win at Marymount (Va.) University last Wednesday, Pearman scored 17 points, pulled down five rebounds and grabbed two steals in a game-high 38 minutes of action. Pearman followed that up with a stalwart performance in the win over the University of Mary Washington on Saturday; the senior posted a game-high 23 points, pulled down nine rebounds and finished with one steal.
The Sea Gulls are set to host St. Mary's (Md.) College, ranked 16th in the nation, on Wednesday at 8 p.m. at the Maggs Physical Activities Center.
