Palmer selected as first-team All-Capital Athletic Conference

YORK, Pa. - After an extremely impressive final season, Salisbury University senior guard  Greg Palmer (Salisbury, Md.) can now add being named a member of the All-Capital Athletic Conference first team to his list of several milestones and accomplishments. Palmer had previously been a second-team selection in both 2008 and 2009.

Throughout his career with the Sea Gulls, Palmer was recognized on several occasions for his outstanding performances on the court, and the 2009-10 season was no exception. Palmer was named the PrestoSports/Pride of Maryland Player of the Week a total of three times, twice this season alone.  He was also recognized as CAC Player of the Week on January 25 for the fourth time in his career.  On Dec. 6, 2009, he received the Optimist Classic tournament MVP title for the second year in a row. In addition to these titles, Palmer's free-throw percentage of 85.45 (141-of-165) is a record third-best all time in the CAC.

This season, Palmer led his Sea Gulls to a 13-12 record; additionally, he became the 28th member of the elite 1,000-point club at Salisbury University on Jan. 16.
