Mother Nature wins again; basketball doubleheader at Marymount postponed
SALISBURY, Md. - The Salisbury University men's
and women's basketball teams have dealt with numerous schedule
changes in the last two weeks due to the storms that have invaded
the Middle-Atlantic section of the country.
Thursday's doubleheader scheduled at Marymount (Va.) University
is the latest casualty of that poor weather, as the doubleheader
has been postponed until Monday, Feb. 15. The women's game is still
scheduled to begin at 6 p.m., followed by the men at 8 p.m.
The Sea Gulls will now play four games in eight days to close
out the regular season, beginning Saturday when the teams host
Stevenson University at Maggs Physical Activities Center. The
women's game will be part of the WBCA's Pink Zone initiative, and
the men will hold Alumni Day on Saturday, with their alumni game
scheduled for 11 a.m.
The doubleheader's move to Monday will force the postponement of
the men's basketball team's game that was scheduled to take place
at Washington (Md.) College on Monday night. The game will not be
made up this season.
