Sea Gulls set make-up date with Shoremen for Feb. 15

SALISBURY, Md. -The Salisbury University men's basketball team rescheduled its previously postponed contest with the Shoremen of Washington (Md.) College for Feb. 15 at 7:30 p.m., at the Cain Athletic Center in Chestertown, Md. The original contest on Dec. 18 was postponed due to inclement weather in the area.

The contest will be the final non-conference game of the season for the Sea Gulls, who are currently riding a four-game winning streak. SU is currently 4-4 in non-conference games during the 2009-10 season. The Sea Gulls split last season's series with Washington, as the Gulls notched an 87-85 overtime win on Jan. 3 thanks to a Devin Jones (Severn, Md.) jumper with just 1.9 seconds left in overtime. Last week's CAC Player of the Week, Greg Palmer (Salisbury, Md.), notched a career-high 33 points in the win over the Shoremen last year.

The Sea Gulls next play host to Gallaudet University on Wednesday, Feb. 3 at 8 p.m., at the Maggs Physical Activities Center. A win over the Bison would capture the season series for SU, as it previously defeated Gallaudet 66-58 on the road on Jan. 6.
