GILBERT, Ariz. – The most recent Penn Monto/National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III Coaches Poll was released on Tuesday, and the Salisbury University field hockey team earned the No. 7 spot.
The top five teams in the nation remain unchanged from last week – Middlebury College at No. 1 with 1,193 points, Messiah College at No. 2 with 1,137 points, Tufts University at No. 3 with 1,013 points, The College of New Jersey at No. 4 with 1,000 points, and Babson College at No. 5 with 864 points.
The Sea Gulls (6-2) went 1-1 last week, defeating then-No. 15 Johns Hopkins University, 3-1, before falling to No. 4 TCNJ by the same score.
Salisbury's next game will be on the road, against Gwynedd Mercy University, on Saturday, September 29 at 3 p.m. The maroon and gold return home on Wednesday, October 3 to square off against the Catholic University of America; game time is set for 6 p.m.
