Sea Gulls set for Corners for Cancer game on Wednesday

SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University field hockey team is looking for help as it takes on breast cancer this Wednesday night.

The Sea Gulls host Wesley College, beginning at 6 p.m., at Sea Gull Stadium, and it will be the team's annual "Corners for Cancer" game.

The team will be wearing pink uniforms and encourage their fans to do the same. The team is encouraging fans to make a $2 donation upon entry to Sea Gull Stadium and those in attendance will have the opportunity to pledge a financial donation for each penalty corner that the team is awarded during the game. Fans may also make a one-time donation, if they choose.

All proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society. Salisbury is averaging 11.30 penalty corners per game, which ranks 13th in the nation.
