CHANDLER, Ariz. – The 2016 Victory Sports Tours/National Field Hockey Coaches' Association (NFHCA) Division III Senior Game roster was announced this week, and two members of the No. 2-ranked Salisbury University field hockey team made the cut.
Seniors Hannah Miller and Becca Rinaca were two of just 60 student-athletes across the nation to be selected to play in the annual game, which is set for Saturday, November 19 at 4 p.m., at William Smith College. However, Miller and Rinaca will hope to be replaced by two of the 12 alternate athletes on the Senior Game roster; that Saturday also happens to be the semifinal round of the NCAA Division III field hockey tournament.
Together, the senior duo has earned three-straight Capital Athletic Conference championships, and will look to make it four in a row this Saturday. Salisbury, the top-seeded team in the Capital Athletic Conference tournament, is set to square off against third-seeded University of Mary Washington in the CAC championship match on Saturday, November 5 at Sea Gull Stadium, beginning at 6 p.m.
