Windsor earns second CAC weekly honor of season

YORK, Pa. – The Capital Athletic Conference announced its weekly field hockey awards on Monday and Salisbury University junior Tressie Windsor was named the league's Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this year.

Windsor helped the Sea Gulls to two wins last week, surrendering just one goal. She made a pair of saves in a 2-1 overtime victory against Christopher Newport University last Wednesday, and needed just one save to earn her fourth solo shutout of the year this past Saturday at St. Mary's College of Maryland.

The Delmar, Maryland native was also named the CAC's Defensive Player of the Week on October 3, and is one of four Sea Gulls to pick up a weekly CAC honor in 2016.

Windsor and the Sea Gulls close out regular-season play on Wednesday, October 26 traveling to Wesley College. That game is slated to begin at 5 p.m.
